7x Stylish restaurants in Paris with delicious food

November last year we went on a surprise weekend to Paris for my boyfriend’s 30th birthday. I just fell in love with all the new restaurants I discovered since I last visited a few years ago. We ate at all kinds of restaurants in Paris, from a cute pasta place with a funky sixties interior to an authentic French bistro . In this blog I will share 7 stylish restaurants in Paris that I loved, so you know which restaurants to put on your list for your next visit.

Chez Lili et Marcel

This French restaurant was right around the corner of our idyllic hotel (Hôtel Mercure Paris Bercy Bibliothèque) in the 13th arrondissement. We kind of stumbled upon it when we left the hotel on our search for a place to sit down for lunch. It was November but there were still people sitting outside at the terrace. We heard the people outside speaking in French and we thought ‘if the French are here it is probably a good place’. So we stepped inside and were immediately welcomed so warm heartedly by the friendly staff. We ordered a roasted chicken and a vegetable dish and it was served with a small salad on the side.

Liza

We were in luck with this cosy Lebanese restaurant. Be sure to make a reservation if you are planning to visit over the weekend. We arrived around 8pm on a Saturday without a reservation and were told they were fully booked for the night. My boyfriend and I left the restaurant and had a little chat about where to go when the waiter asked us to come back in. A spot just opened up and we got a really nice spot near the window with a kitchen view.

Even though I am not a vegetarian, I love it when a restaurant has multiple dishes that are soly made of vegetables and herbs and you are not missing the meats or fish. And boy this restaurant has too many delicious options to chose from.

Holybelly

Holybelly was one of my favourite places for breakfast. Make sure you arrive early because it can get very busy. We were in luck and arrived exactly at the opening time and were able to pick a spot we liked. This chill Melbourne style cafe serves mouth watering pancakes, perfectly served bacon and eggs and a fresh brewed coffee.

Zapi

This stylish restaurant really suprised me! On the last day of our weekend in Paris we visited the Louvre and walked through the Jardin des Tuileries when it started raining. To escape from the rain we popped into Zapi, an Italian restaurant with a mesmerising interior. It was like we walked into a sixties movie scene. I loved it! We ordered the burrata salad, the truffle spaghetti and the arrabiata pasta. The food here was too good to be true. Sometimes the best places are found by accident.

Le Chat Ivre

Le Chat Ivre was a recommendation of a Parisian. The last time I visited Paris this French restaurant was fully booked, so this time I made sure to make a reservation beforehand. The food was good but the wine was even better. As you can see on the photo on the right they have a wide selection of the best wines. The place is cosy and gives an intimate feel for dinner.

Pink Mamma

Before we travelled to Paris I asked my friends what their favourite restaurants in Paris were and almost every one said we had to visit the Italian restaurant Pink Mamma. And so we did. The interior was very well designed. Every floor had a different look and feel but it matched together perfectly. The best part about is the rooftop with glass windows on all sides. Now you might think, what about the food. Oh well, this was as good at the interior.

Season

Last but definitely not least was Season. We went here for breakfast on our a Sunday. It was really easy to get to even by bike. I really liked the clean style they had incorporated in the design. the food was really good. The best part was the option on the menu to have a breakfast which included a mini açai bowl and avocado on toast. This was great for someone who is indecisive like me 🙂
