A Luxurious Stay at INNSiDE by Meliá Bangkok Sukhumvit Hotel Review

During our month in Thailand, we stayed in Bangkok at both the beginning and end of our trip. We chose three different hotels, and INNSiDE by Meliá Bangkok Sukhumvit was one of them. We selected this hotel mainly because it wasn’t too far from the airport and was just outside the most crowded areas. Since we had an early morning departure, we wanted to avoid the crowds but still enjoy great facilities, including a restaurant and a rooftop bar. Honestly, we didn’t expect the hotel to be as beautiful and luxurious as it was, especially given the affordable price.

Location

The Sukhumvit neighborhood in Bangkok is a vibrant and popular area. It offers a wide variety of restaurants, multiple shopping malls, and trendy bars and clubs. It’s also close to a BTS Skytrain station, providing easy connections to the city center and other parts of Bangkok.

Feel and Style

The modern, contemporary style of the hotel is clean and immediately gives a luxurious vibe. The white marble tiles, large windows, and open floor plan on all public floors create a welcoming atmosphere. With all the essential facilities on-site, it’s the perfect hotel for a few nights while exploring the city.

Rooms

The rooms at INNSiDE by Meliá Bangkok were compact but with a convenient layout. Despite their size, the large windows made the space feel bigger and more open. The bed was super comfortable, with mattresses that were just the right firmness, and nice soft sheets. Although we were on a lower floor, the view was still fantastic, especially at night when the city lights up.

The sink positioned in the middle of the room took some getting used to, but it wasn’t a big issue. The only downside was the limited counter space for personal items, although the hotel’s lovely organic toiletries made up for that. Fortunately, we only stayed for a few nights, so unpacking wasn’t a hassle.

A fun detail: the minibar was stocked with local drinks, which was a thoughtful touch.

Food and drink

There are plenty of dining options at the hotel. The LUZ rooftop bar offers a Spanish tapas menu, reflecting the hotel chain’s Spanish origins. Since we had to leave early the next morning, we decided to dine there while enjoying the breathtaking views of the city. We didn’t expect much from the food but were pleasantly surprised. The taste, presentation, and mix of flavors were excellent. They even have a DJ on some evenings.

For those wanting to try Thai cuisine, The Kites Eatery offers all-day dining. The rooftop bar also has a poolside option where you can order food and drinks to enjoy by the sunbeds. If you’re looking for a spot to work while enjoying a coffee, the Open Living Lounge is perfect.

There’s 24-hour room service available if you prefer to dine in the comfort of your room.

Value for money

Our stay at INNSiDE by Meliá Bangkok Sukhumvit was fantastic. It was exactly what we needed. The staff was incredibly kind and even allowed us to check in early, giving us extra time to enjoy the rooftop pool on the 34th floor. We loved the food at LUZ, the pool, and the breathtaking views from almost every floor.
