10x Things To Do On A Rainy Day In Canggu

If you are visiting Bali during rain season or it’s just a rainy day and you are not sure what to do, here are 10 things to do on a rainy day in Canggu.

1. Book a massage

One thing you should definitely do when in Bali, is to book a massage. I went to the Goldust Spa and booked the signature massage. This salon is not only estatically pleasing it also takes care of its people and has the best masseuses. The massage I booked was 60 min and it was so good! Beforehand you fill in a form about the pressure you like and if you have any focus areas, which can help you to relax during the massage.

2. Wheel Throwing class at ClayClub NUSA

I saw a reels of ClayClub NUSA on instagram just before my flight to Bali. The first days of my trip were quite wet for the beginning of June so I looked into things I could do and remembered the wheel throwing class, so I booked a session. It was so much fun! The ladies from the club are very helpful and show you how it’s done, so you can take how some nice peaces. Do keep in mind that you can only pick up the pieces dried and glaced after two weeks. They can also send them to your home address, the fee for this is just very expensive.

3. Have lunch at a cute restaurant

There are so many nice lunch places in Bali that it might be hard to chose. also a lot of places that are covered but still outside. This is perfect for a rainy day in Canggu when the temperatures are still warm. Check out my favourite restaurants in Canggu to know which ones I truly recommend visiting.

4. Texture painting class at Maja Spa

Every Sunday Maja Spa offers a 2 hour texture painting class at there studio. It is a great way to relax, create some art and meet new friendly faces. And of course you can bring your artwork home with you. You can pick it up at the studio a couple days after your class.

5. Book a manicure

I booked a manicure at Beauty Heaven. They have just opened their clean and light salon this year. My manicure was amazing, I have never seen my nails and cuticles and nails look this good. Dinda is the woman who took care of my nails which such good care. She was a real expert. The gellac I had done stayed on for 2 weeks.

6. Book a workout class

What’s really nice about Canggu is that they have a lot of gyms and studios to choose from. A lot of them can also be found on ClassPass. I stayed in Canggu for 3 weeks and it was super convenient to have a membership on ClassPass to try out different gyms and studios. My favourite locations were Maja Studio, OBSIDIAN gym, ALMA Holistic Women Center and Posture Pilates.

7. Go shopping

Bali has new shops opening everywere on the island but especially in Canggu. There are more and more shops focussing on natural beauty products, organic food and sustainable fashion. These are my favourite (sustainable) shops in Canggu.

8. Get your hair cut

I was in Bali for almost a month and felt like I needed a haircut. Finding the right hairdresser that had an open spot for me within 2 days was quite difficult. Eventually, I ended up at the hair salon of Amèline Spa & Beauty. Once I was there I also booked a massage here and both the haircut and the massage were good.

9. Breathwork + Icebath

Something I really wanted to do was a breathwork session. I did breathwork before and hoped to get more out of this session. The event by Breathwork Bali took place at a really beautiful open location with a view on the rice fields. We started with a ceremonie to set your intentions, after that we danced a little bit and then we started with the breathwork. It was a well organised event at a beautiful location.

10. Making your own silver jewellery

I did not follow a class, as the weather had gotten better and I wanted to explore more of the nature and beautiful sights of the island, but I heard from fellow travellers that it is a lovely experience to make your own jewellery on a rainy day in Canggu.
